Dr. Jordan Baker, DVM/Practice Manager
As the son of a veterinarian, I always dreamed of following in my father’s footsteps, so I moved to West Lafayette in 2003 after high school to pursue veterinary medicine. I graduated from Purdue’s Vet School in 2010 and joined Warrick Veterinary Clinic soon after. Since then, I have worked with various species and added new services and equipment to the clinics, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
My wife, Rachel, and I moved back to Warrick County in the Spring of 2019 with our son and daughter, Jackson & Adalyn, who are already proving to be animal lovers. Time will tell if they choose to follow the family footsteps. Our new space allows us to continue growing our own personal petting zoo, consisting of goats, horses, and pigs, along with the many dogs and cats. Rachel completed her training as a veterinary technician from Murray State University, but we are very grateful that she can stay home with our two children during their early years before she continues pursuing her own career in veterinary medicine.
I’m fortunate to now work alongside my father and sister, Drs. John and Natalie Baker, and other great veterinarians, technicians, and staff. We at Warrick Vet are truly a family-owned and operated, homegrown establishment. We have wonderful clients, and I am excited to continue to meet and serve our community.
Dr. Natalie Baker, DVM
I was born and raised on an 80-acre farm on Telephone Road in Warrick County. Growing up with a father who was a mixed animal veterinarian and with both domestic and 4-H animals, there was never a doubt in my mind that I, too, wanted to have a career in veterinary medicine. In particular, I found myself drawn to the swine industry and had opportunities to further this interest by working with many great swine producers, suppliers, and pork industry people from around the area.
I attended Purdue University for undergraduate studies in animal sciences and was accepted into the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2014. I pursued a mixed animal track, since I planned on joining the family business which serves both companion and farm animals.
Although most of my time is spent doing swine herd health checks for our swine producers, Saturday mornings you will find me providing care for our companion animals at the Newburgh Robin Hill clinic. My goal is to learn something new with every animal/owner encounter and to provide you with caring, efficient, value-added veterinary services.
Outside of work, I enjoy horseback riding, running, boating, and loyally supporting my Boilermaker’s sports teams. My fiancé Nate and I live outside of Boonville with our golden retriever (Forrest), 2 Rhodesian Ridgeback pups (Zeke and Zion) and our brave, lone, feline companion – Pip.
Dr. John Baker, DVM
I grew up on a small family farm in eastern Warrick County and graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Three years prior, I married my wife, Andrea, with whom I raised our two children and various 4-H animals, including ponies, goats, and Suffolk. We now have an English bulldog named Axle who is also part of the family. I opened Warrick Veterinary Clinic in 1984 as a mixed animal practice and consider it a blessing to now have both of my children, Drs. Jordan and Natalie, as part of the veterinary team. Today, Warrick Veterinary Clinic has eight veterinarians at our two locations. Our goal at the clinic was and still is to always improve the services we offered our clients.
Dr. Amanda Pike, DVM
My name is Amanda Pike, but I go by Dr. Mandy here at WVC! I joined the WVC Newburgh team in May 2018. I graduated from Murray State University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I grew up in Opdyke, IL, a small town outside of Mt. Vernon, IL. I grew up with cats, dogs, and horses. I was a sophomore in high school when I realized that veterinary medicine was my passion. I spent time in several different states including Texas, Ohio, and Tennessee getting as much experience as possible throughout my college education.
I live in Evansville with my Great Dane, Zeva, and my Great Dane mix, Theo. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy a variety of activities including hiking, camping, hunting, exercising, reading, movies, and just hanging out.
I have an interest in alternative medicine including chiropractic, acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and behavior. I am currently practicing Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM), which is a form of chiropractic. I intend to obtain certification in acupuncture and to expand my knowledge of alternative medicine practices to offer to all of our patients here at WVC. I am so excited to have the opportunity to join the amazing Newburgh team!
