Pet Surgery Safety Measures
The teams at Warrick Veterinary Clinics in Newburgh Plaza and Boonville are committed to providing exceptional care to our clients and patients with state-of-the-art surgical care. We are always seeking to maintain the highest standards of veterinary medicine, making sure that your pet is safe and well-cared-for at all times.
If your pet is prescribed a surgical procedure, our team will go over all of the information with you to ensure that you are educated and prepared. We perform pre-anesthetic blood work to check on your pet’s health status before surgery so that we can manage their anesthesia safely.
Once your pet has been prepped and anesthetized for surgery, they will be monitored throughout the procedure by a trained veterinary technician and a series of surgical monitoring tools. During surgery, we utilize a number of exceptional veterinary tools, depending on your pet’s surgery type and needs.
After your pet’s surgery is complete, our team members continue monitoring them as they come out of anesthesia, ensuring that they are safe before they head home with you. We will call or text you to update you on your pet’s condition after they begin to come out of their anesthesia in recovery. When it’s time for your pet to go home, we’ll walk you through any post-surgical instructions that you need to know for your pet’s care.
